‘Melting point’ gaffe

On the backdrop of the fallout of Copenhagen summit, when we are all scrutinising the fact about global warming, climate change and its gradual threat to the mankind – a ‘glaciergate’ bails out the ‘accused’ – Himalayan glaciers are not melting....

The ‘largely divided world’ isn’t very much convinced or rather committed to take on the responsibility to come to a unanimous decision to fight ‘climate change’. In such a perplexed situation, an error of judgment in reports that behold and make it officially legitimate might prove sceptic for critics.

United Nations’ Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), headed by the Nobel laureate Mr R K Pachuri, has fumbled in its endeavours to justify a ‘disaster’ ailing our ambiance and threatening our means of survival – our ‘environment and resources’ are not safe. Credibility accounts for high degree of value and credence in its deeds. And a lot needs to be done to get its due reorganisation. Do not adjust it to be disclosed as a ‘fake’ belief.

There's no two ways to it that IPCC’s reports were both untimely and misleading. They were not verified and substantiated by any well researched on ground data. It certainly makes me cynical of the motives and urgency to make such unwarranted mistake. It’s not a slip-of-tongue or minor human error. A few more reports viz. Amazon forest went wrong. Whatsoever, one hope it settles down convincingly well, so that we do not derail our common goal to fight climate change.
