Chowkidar? The Noble Man!
Men in uniform or not in uniform - chowkidars - are selfless and esteemed
common citizens who respect their profession and perform their duties devoutly.
Let’s all honor and salute them for their services, not just play with words around
such a “noble” profession. Give them the credit of what they do. Would it
be deserving of us to call ourselves one.
Hope #MainBhiChowkidar campaign leads as a starting point to bring about a change in the lives of the people.
Just thinking! Beyond
party politics or election vote bank gimmick, as citizens of this country, when
people go to vote for the elections, how does personalizing oneself to a
professional entity help? Is it just about winning the sympathy of the people
or a promise to really bring a difference in the life of people in that
particular profession? Time-tested, election ploy has not been fulfilling and
has been eluding the reality and the people.
Vote, because every vote counts.
Hope #MainBhiChowkidar campaign leads as a starting point to bring about a change in the lives of the people.
“Main bhi chowkidar”, “Chowkidar chor hai”, “Agar aap bhi chowkidaar hain toh mahila
surakhit nahi”. Wonder! what a real life chowkidar would be thinking?
As a citizen of this country, it hurts when we hear such
speeches, talks, discussions, opinions, messages about people, belonging to particular
a profession and a part of our daily lives, which have nothing to do with them,
but are branding and labeling them meaninglessly.
It’s none of our business to do so? In spirit, not just vote bank politics, we
hope
#MainBhiChowkidar campaign leads to a starting point to bring about a change in
the lives of the people, especially those who really are the deserving ones.

Talking of which, is it politically right
to choose a time like the nation’s Lok Sabha election to commit
to its citizen to join the #MainBhiChowkidar campaign or play with words around
a “noble” profession. Are we trivializing or devaluing the real life people who
have for ages chose the profession and dutifully laid their services? Stand corrected!
It’s not just about standing for or
against, supporting one party or the other, or going with your favorite leader,
rather, we must be wise in our actions and support what is good for the nation
and its people.
Vote, because every vote counts.
